Obrys Architects
A portfolio website the architects update themselves
The challenge
Obrys designs private houses and small public buildings. Their work was stunning; their website was not. It had been built years ago by a freelancer, only he could add new projects, and the last update was eighteen months old. Enquiries landed in one inbox with no hint of budget or timing, so the partners spent evenings on calls with people who were never going to build.
The bureau needed a site that shows the work at its best, is easy to keep fresh and filters requests before they reach the partners.
What we did
- A new structure built around what clients actually ask: what you design, how you work, what it costs and how long it takes
- A project portfolio with filters by type and location, where every project is a story with photos, drawings and the client’s brief
- An easy content editor the team uses without us: publishing a new project takes about 20 minutes and no designer
- A short enquiry form that asks about the plot, budget range and timing, then sends a tidy summary to the right partner
- Ukrainian and English versions for clients abroad
- Fast pages on phones and a dedicated page for every service and region, so the bureau is easy to find in search
The result
- +140% qualified enquiries per month within the first quarter
- 14 new projects published by the team itself in the first four months
- Time spent on “just curious” calls dropped by about two thirds
- Visitors from search grew by 71% year on year
For the first time our website looks like our buildings. And we don’t have to ask anyone to post a new project — our office manager does it between meetings.
