Privacy Policy

Note: this privacy policy is a template for the Daxive demo site. Please review it with a legal professional and adapt it to your actual setup, hosting providers and tools before relying on it.

Last updated: 30 September 2026.

This policy explains what personal data Daxive (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit our website or contact us, why we collect it and what rights you have. It is short because we collect very little.

Who we are

Daxive is an independent software studio that builds WordPress plugins and themes, Laravel web applications and native apps for macOS and iOS. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question, write to hello@daxive.com.

What data we collect

When you contact us

When you use the contact form or email us, we receive:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • the content of your message and anything you choose to include in it.

When you browse the site

Like any web server, our hosting provider automatically logs technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of each request. We use these logs only to keep the site secure and working.

Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies — for example, one that remembers the language you selected. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers or third-party analytics that build a profile of you.

Why we use your data

  • To reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to prepare a proposal and a contract — Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
  • To protect the site against spam, abuse and security incidents — Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest.
  • To meet legal obligations, such as accounting requirements, if you become a client — Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

We never sell your data, use it for advertising or add you to a mailing list without your explicit consent.

Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that help us run the site and communicate with you, such as our hosting and email providers. They process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. If a provider is located outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Contact form messages and related emails: up to 24 months after our last conversation, unless we start working together.
  • Client project correspondence and invoices: as long as accounting and tax law require.
  • Server logs: up to 30 days.

After that, the data is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, where applicable, the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection”, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data deleted;
  • restrict or object to processing;
  • receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
  • lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@daxive.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, our systems are protected with strong passwords and two-factor authentication, and access to personal data is limited to the people who need it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
